The first three months of 2019 are complete, and you are not getting that time back.
That makes today the perfect opportunity to reflect and make changes.
See it on Paper
At some point today, take the time to complete this short exercise. Take out a piece of paper, and on one side, list out everything that worked in Quarter 1. These things can be in reference to your business strategies, ad campaigns, conversations, or daily routine. Just list out everything that worked well in the past three months.
On the other side of the paper, list everything that didn’t work. These can be things you knew you should implement but didn’t or mistakes that you made.
Reflect
Listing everything out on paper forces you to sit down and really reflect on the past three months. When you are complete, you have a tangible list right in front of you. Sometimes all it takes is seeing it on paper, in front of your own eyes, for you to be able to determine where you went wrong and what you can do to improve.
Make the Change
Are you satisfied with who you are now, or do you want to become a better version of yourself by the beginning of Quarter 3?
I’m going to assume, as an entrepreneur, you are striving for growth. You are seeking change in your life. You are focused on getting better every single day and every single quarter.
When I completed my list, I noticed what didn’t work – namely an evening routine that I was not consistent with during Quarter 1. I know if I had consistently blocked out time and sat down every evening to Plan Tomorrow Today, I would be a different person today. I also know if I develop the discipline and adapt this routine now, I will grow and change by July 1. I will have more discipline and experience personal growth. But, if I don’t improve and create the new discipline necessary to attract change, then I could end up in the same exact spot that I am here today.
For any of us to experience change in this next quarter, there’s only one thing that has to happen. WE must change.
“For things to change, you have to change. For things to get better, you have to get better. For things to improve, you have to improve. When you grow, everything in your life grows with you.” Jim Rohn, mentor to Tony Robbins.
It’s the start of Quarter 2. Make the changes you need to make. You’ve got big goals, and they SHOULD be achieved.
