Each week, I’m recapping my experiences running two companies: Broke Agent Media and The One Team. This is a venture I want to share every step of the way – what’s working, what throws us off our game, and the lessons we learn along the way.
Preparation for Dallas Continues
Tom Ferry reported that BAM sold the most tickets out of any affiliate sponsor to his 2022 Success Summit. While the event is sold out for in-person attendees, you can still attend from the comfort of your home or office with Summit Livestream.
We also signed an exciting new sponsor, which we’ll be announcing at the BAM Bash on August 23rd.
Another aspect of Dallas I’m looking forward to is the content we’ll be capturing. There has been a lot of scheduling happening this week, and so far, I’ll be recording eight episodes of the Byron Lazine Podcast on top of shooting The Real Word and Walkthru podcasts.
Since BAM operates almost entirely remotely, we’ll be taking some time in Dallas to plan out our company ROCKS for the next 90 days and expand on a more detailed schedule of goals and content. Although there won’t be a minute to spare, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone face-to-face.
I can’t overstate the value of content trips. In this week’s BAM vlog, you can get a glimpse of how content trips run. We hit three states in a week, played a $4,000 round of golf, drove to Ocean City, NJ, to film a podcast with TikTok superstar Johnny Drinks, and sampled a $20,000 bottle of whiskey.
Want to join in on one of these trips? Come golf and mastermind with myself, The Broke Agent, and Dan O’Neil over 27 holes and lunch. It’s an excellent opportunity to explore your content strategy and business plan in Naples. If you’re interested, join the waitlist here.
Housing Recession is the New Buzzword
In the most recent episode of The Real Word, we discussed builder confidence in the market plunging to a new low, rising interest rates, and uncertain construction costs. Nicole explained how these factors affect buyers’ mindsets and how agents can lean into educating their clients on these topics.
There’s a growing consensus from talking heads on TV that housing is in a recession due to the falling number of deals, but I still think we’re only in an economic recession. Remember to subscribe to my channel to hear more of my thoughts about this in the coming weeks.
The One Team Hits Highest Agent Count
Over at the One Team, we’ve reached 49 active agents, and another 70 people are signed up for our agent scholarship program.
We also have our customer appreciation party on September 1st at the office in Guilford. I’m looking forward to seeing all of our past clients, family, and friends for live music, drinks, and food. One of the best parts about the One Team is our close-knit culture, and I look forward to meeting more agents that could be the right fit to join the team there.
Conclusion
Make sure we’re connected on my personal Instagram. I just put out a free piece of content for people who are interested in virtual assistants, who are supporting the best real estate content on the planet.
DM me “VA” on Instagram, and I’ll send you a breakdown of exactly how I’m hiring VAs, how we are executing with them at a high level, and how you can do the same.
