Right now, as you gear up for the height of the spring market, your days are getting busier and busier. You are connecting with both buyers and sellers, negotiating, closing deals, making calls, and showing homes. And on top of all that, you have to continue prospecting and following up so that your pipeline remains full throughout the fall and winter markets.
How are you feeling at the end of each day?
Inspired?
Or drained?
Too many real estate agents focus on how “busy” they are, and let this season take every ounce of energy they have, eventually leading to burnout. How can you stay on top of your daily tasks AND keep your energy high?
Find Accountability Partners
We have to be held accountable. Most of us wake up before everybody else, and we all put in a lot of hours of work each day. Without a plan for accountability, it’s easy to fall back to old patterns and habits. And we all know those old habits won’t help us reach new goals.
Accountability is a part of success. Find a coach, partner, or group of people who will hold you accountable and accept no excuses. The more accountability you establish for yourself, the better. I am held accountable by my business coach, the 5 AM Call, my team at One + Company, and my family.
Be Selfish
It’s something I say every morning because I wholeheartedly believe it – be selfish so that you can be selfless. I’m selfish with my morning routine, but you can figure out what this means for you. Find time in your day to do what you need for YOU – go to the gym, practice gratitude, meditate, journal – and start repeating that routine EVERY DAY. By taking the time for yourself, you can show up fully for others.
Seek out People who Inspire You
What actions are you taking to get around people who are doing more than you? That’s the game for growth for real estate or any business. To avoid having tunnel vision in your own business, get around the people who are doing what you aspire to. If you are not getting out to conferences, if you’re not getting out of your market, if you’re not in a mastermind, then you are insular to your business and your own market. Find the people who inspire you, and go learn from them.
Level Up
Everyone has a different definition of what success is.
Some people will let life’s circumstances, or their market, or their competition, define them.
And then there are some of us that can’t define what success looks like, because we are going to keep raising the bar on what that means.
Now is the perfect time to return to your vision board or the goals you set at the beginning of the year. If you have fallen off track, it’s time to level up and regain the discipline and consistency you need for the rest of the year. If you are on target to reach your goals, readjust and go bigger.
We all have an incredible opportunity every day. Don’t waste it because you are waiting for inspiration to strike. Set up a system for success, surround yourself with people you can learn from, and commit to getting better every day.
