Where can you get organic reach in today’s social media world?

Maybe you’re thinking the only place you can still organically grow your audience is TikTok. But in our business, Tiktok is not where our ideal customer is. 

Our ideal customer is probably spending more time on Instagram. While Instagram has lost its organic flair quite a bit over the last couple of years, right now, it has a tool that every single one of us should be taking advantage of every week:

Instagram Reels. 

It’s the Instagram version of TikTok. After implementing the four hacks I share below, my Instagram reach went up 500% in just a few weeks. 

Implement these right away to start stealing views and increasing your followers. When you start doing Reels on a regular basis, you’ll notice that the views of your stories and feed also increase. 

Here’s how to take advantage of this organic growth opportunity. It won’t last long!

Edit in Instagram

Create and edit the Instagram Reel right inside of Instagram. Do not upload from TikTok or another editing app.

Instagram knows when you post a Reel that was edited with their tools, and they will give you a lot more credit for using their tools. This helps with your organic push when you upload the video. 

Fewer Hashtags

Use only 1-3 hashtags when you write the copy. This is not one of those posts that you want to put 20 or 30 different hashtags.  Write a short, very succinct piece of copy with 1, 2, or 3 hashtags, and that is it.

Types of Content

There are two types of content that can help you gain views on IG Reels. 

  1. The first is to use a trending song or voice-over,  something that is really popular on Instagram Reels. You’ll be able to determine what’s trending after 10-15 minutes of scrolling through Reels. Click on the song, save it into your library, and put your own spin on it.
  2. The second is to create an educational Reel that is 15-30 seconds long. Choose a topic your buyers or sellers are asking about, narrow your answer down to bullet points, and provide the information your clients are searching for. 

Post, Post, Post

Finally, make sure you are posting three Instagram Reels per week. Like everything else, consistency is key. 

Upload three a week, every single week right now until this organic push goes away. You will find that all of your other content performs a whole lot better, allowing you to reach more people.
